Are white toner prints DTF?

They are similar to DTF, some call it powderless DTF. You do print directly to film and can decorate garments.

How should I wash white toner transfers?

For best results, wait 24 hours before washing your garment with the transfer on it. Wash the garment with the transfer inside out in cold water and hang to dry. Use mild detergent and avoid any bleach or fabric softeners. This will maximize the durability of the transfer.

How do you create white toner transfers?

Design Your Artwork

Use graphic design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar) to create your design. Ensure that the design includes the areas where white toner will be applied.

Prepare Your Printer

Load your white toner printer with the appropriate transfer paper. Make sure your printer settings are adjusted for the type of transfer paper you are using

Print Your Design

Print your design onto the transfer paper. The white toner will be applied where you have designated it in your artwork. Ensure that the print settings are optimized for the best quality.

Prepare the Substrate

Pre-treat the substrate (e.g., a t-shirt, mug, or other items) if necessary, following the manufacturer’s instructions. This may involve pre-pressing fabric items to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Transfer the Print

Place the printed transfer paper onto the substrate. Use a heat press to apply the design. Make sure to follow the specific temperature, pressure, and time settings recommended by the transfer paper manufacturer.

Peel the Transfer Paper

After pressing, allow the substrate to cool slightly if required, then carefully peel off the transfer paper according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This might be a hot peel or cold peel process.

Post-Press (if necessary)

Some transfers require a second press without the transfer paper to ensure the design is fully adhered and to improve durability. Follow any additional steps recommended by the transfer paper manufacturer.

PRO TIP: For the final press, use a T-Seal Finishing Sheet for Laser Transfers. This will give your white toner transfers a soft, lightweight feel and enhance their durability and washability.

Does the Crio come with toner or do I have to purchase toner when I purchase the printer?

The Crio comes with a starter set of toner that lasts roughly 800-1200 prints.

How fast does the Crio print?

You can print roughly 16 prints per minute on 11x17 size paper.

What is the best paper to use in my Crio?

Crio allows you to use any paper compatible with white toner printers, and it will not void the warranty! It is recommended to use Forever Paper, but you will not be penalized for trying different papers!
